Battery Life

Tire shop says a sensor on my 2009 S80 should be replaced soon as the battery life is showing that its getting low. I thought sensors were suppose to last 5+ years. Are they trying to get some $ out of me?

It is possible that they are beginning to die. Every sensors is different depending on driving conditions and habits.
