Ford TPMS Trigger Tool Not Working?

Is the Ford TPMS Trigger Tool battery powered? I'm trying to use mine but it doesn't seem to be working. Any thoughts?

It could be a bad tool if it isn't lighting up when you push the button. I do not believe that the battery can be replaced on them. I know a few of our forum sponsors sell the tool cheaper than most dealers if you need a new one!
