Does Towing Affect The TPMS System At All?

I keep getting a TPMS Error when I tow my trailer. Just wondering if the extra payload is causing a pressure buildup in the rear tires and kicking off the TPMS error on my dash. It goes away while I am not towing but comes back shortly after I hook onto the trailer I have been hauling for work. Anyone have any ideas?

What is your vehicle? MMY Some TPM Systems will alert of an over pressure as well as under but most only for under inflation as far as I know.
