2013 Mazda 3 - What TPMS Sensors System Does It Use?

My warning light came on my 2013 3. I haven't checked the air pressures yet to see if thats the issue as I need to get a new air gauge. But for future reference, does the car have sensors it or not? I read that Mazda is using a system that is not sensor based?

The 2013 Mazda3 does have direct TPMS. If the light is solid, the tire pressure is either too low or too high. If it is flashing, one or more of the sensors is dead or malfunctioning.
