Hit a nice size pothole over the weekend while out taking care of errands. Luckily there was no damage to the wheel (that I can see), but the tpms light came on. Could the tpms be damaged some how?

It is possible that you may have damaged the sensor. Is the light flashing or solid? If it is solid, that means that one of your tires does not have enough air or it has too much. This could mean that the wheel you hit is leaking air. If the light is flashing, there is a malfunction with your TPMS, meaning one of your sensors could have been damaged.
