TPMS Compatibility?? Universal??

Hi folks, does anyone know if a set of OEM tpms sensors can be retrofitted to a car that didn't have it originally? Also, what about universal sensors, can they be used the same way? Thanks!!

OEM sensors cannot be retrofitted to a car that didn't as well as the universal sensors. The only way it would be possible is if the car had a TPMS transmitter built into it to allow the sensors to communicate with the ECU.

I have furthermore glimpsed reference to straps where you can just secure a sensor to the interior diameter of the wheel. This is so you could reuse a sensor, even if it doesn't fit the valve arise unfastening. This also suggests you can interchange sensors.
