2007 F-150 banded to valve stem

2007 F-150 supercrew lariat. Stock sensors were banded. Bought after market wheels and tires. Tire shop put in valve stem sensors. I do not know which brand. I purchased the Ford push button relearn tool. I can get the vehicle into train mode fine but the relearn is not working. It eventually times out. I read somewhere that the 2004 - 2008 Ford F150's are only compatible with banded sensors. Is this true? Many thanks.

IF they used something like the Schrader EZ sensor then it will work just like the OE banded sensor. You really need to find out what sensor they put in.
