If a Toyota sensor has been broken or a new
one installed (without being programmed to
the car) AND THE RESET BUTTON WAS PUSHED,
the vehicle can get caught in a “loop” and
therefore cannot be repaired. There is only
one way to fix this issue. The initialization
process must be reset before new sensors can
be registered to the vehicle. The Solution: The
Toyota Reset Tool from Schrader. Simply plug
the 21250 (Toyota Reset Tool) into the OBD and
push and hold the button for 30 seconds. The
system will reset and you can now repair and
relearn the vehicle.
