The best way to assemble a Schrader sensor to the rubber valve system
Tire Industry Association When assembling a Schrader sensor, if the bolt is too tight or not tight enough, or if the same bolt is installed too many times into the same valve stem, you’ll likely end up with low signal output from the sensor. That means the signal won’t be strong enough to reach the remote control door lock receiver. Failed relearn and faulty communication between the sensor and the vehicle compromise safety, aggravate drivers and cost service providers money.

Avoid those consequences by using these assembly tips from the Tire Industry Association (TIA):

Make sure you have all the components (new bolt, sensor body, new valve stem, valve core and cap)

Thread the rubber valve stem to the tire valve insertion tool.

While holding the valve (and valve tool), hold the stem in place on the sensor.

While holding the entire assembly, begin to thread the bolt into the stem using the proper T-10 torx drive (that also doubles as preset torque wrench).

Continue to thread in the bolt until the tool "clicks," indicating that you’ve applied the proper torque.
